Contract: Friday & Sunday, 7am - 9am, extra shifts avalible for sickness and holdiay cover

Salary: £12.60 per hour (Real Living Wage)

 

We are looking for a conscientious and reliable team player to join our cleaning team. As a Cleaning Assistant at the Hub, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment that meets the Centre’s high customer care standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a keyholder, opening the building and completing daily opening checks (security, safety and cleanliness).

  • Follow the cleaning schedule to a high standard, covering daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Areas include toilets, offices, café, studio, workshop, stairwells and lifts.

  • Carry out tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors and skirting boards, dusting surfaces, sanitising touch points, removing cobwebs, cleaning windows, doors, signage and lighting, and emptying bins.

  • Check and restock cleaning supplies daily (toilet rolls, hand soap, blue roll).

  • Monitor cleaning equipment and materials, and request top-ups as required.

  • Maintain consistently high hygiene standards across all areas.

What you need:

Skills & Knowledge

  • Good time management.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Awareness of COSHH (training can be provided).

Experience

  • Previous cleaning experience is essential, ideally in a commercial or public setting.

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable and punctual.

  • Flexible and adaptable to support the Centre’s daily operations.

  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Positive and practical “can-do” attitude.
