GLL are currently recruiting trainee baby and pre school swimming teachers to join us in Redaing  to help deliver our under 5 swimming lesson programme, Swimbies. All of our Swimbies Swimming Teachers are qualified to at least STA Level 2 Award in baby and pre school in Teaching Swimming. The STA qualifications are nationally recognised and will give you the skills of how to teach pre school aged children in line with their key developmental stages from 3 months to 5 years.

 

Successful applicants will be fully funded to complete their STA Level 2 Baby and Pre School Award in Teaching Swimming.

We have a range of hours available cross weekdays and weekends.

The next available STA Level 2 baby and pre school Award Course will be run at STA Baby & Pre-School Course - Basingstoke Sports - 7th 10th October 2025

We are looking for applicants who have or wish to develop:

 

  • A passion for working with babies & toddler’s

  • Experience working with parents & guardians

  • Understanding of child development in relation to baby swimming lessons

  • Knowledge of songs and games suitable for baby swimming lessons

 

Your primary role will be to deliver excellent quality Baby & Pre School swimming lessons inline with our product SWIMBiES. You will be expected to deliver in the water for lessons, following the plans of the programme. Singing is a large part of the role, you will need to be confident to sing in public. You will be the face of our baby lesson programme at centres which means you will be expected to be able to communicate effectively to all customers, as well as being welcoming, creating a safe, fun and loving teaching environment.

 

Planning and completing any necessary administration will be a vital part of your role ensuring that the customer experience is positive from entering the centre through to changing and then during the lessons itself.
