Senior Instructor
GLL is looking for a Senior Instructor (RYA Senior Instructor) based at Debdale Outdoor Centre in Gorton, Manchester. Debdale has been providing Sailing in Manchester since the 1970’s and is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre offering courses and practise sessions to adults and children, where you'll join the Watersports team in delivering these.
As a Senior Sailing Instructor, you'll support the Assistant Manager with the coordination and delivery of the sailing programme. You'll set up and pack down the equipment at the start and end of each session plus carry out inspections and undertake maintenance and repair activities ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, guaranteeing the highest standards of service. Managing, mentoring and motivating the team of Watersports Instructors on a daily basis means you'll need to have a positive attitude.
You'll have a real passion for sailing and must hold a RYA Senior Instructor certificate - Sailing and RYA Powerboat Level 2. Flexibility, punctuality and reliability are just as important as integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will stand you in good stead too.
