GLL is looking for a Regional Health Interventions Manager to work across the sport and leisure facilities in London and Central Region. The Regional Health Interventions Manager is responsible for the support and management of GLL’s health programmes. Working closely with our local authority partners, this post holder will oversee the daily management of the Health programmes operating across the Region. Additionally the post holder will identify gaps in business in existing partnerships, identify and bid for new streams of funding, as well as tendering for new business. The role will encompass delivering the health agenda in line with the Corporate Strategy, performance monitoring, relationship development and management, project work, as well as report writing.  

 

The Regional Health Interventions Manager is responsible to the National Community Sport and Health Manager 

 

What you’ll do:  

 

  • To deliver the key requirements of contractual commitments as well as expanding services in line with the Corporate Plan and GLL’s Health Strategy.  

  • Establish corporate protocols, referral mechanisms, evaluation procedures, exit strategies and feedback mechanisms in consultation with partners 

  • To develop relationship with partners in the local area including those within the Local Authority, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS, Community Health Professionals and other local partners. 

  • Oversee a portfolio of multiple partnerships, with a focus on fostering and growing client partners and stakeholder relationships and driving success through local team delivery 

  • Supporting client partner stakeholders and GLL partnership teams in driving the local voice to influence the execution of the Corporate Plan and GLL’s Health Strategy.

What you need: 

  • Heath, Sport or Exercise Science related degree or equivalent 

  • GP Referral qualification (Level 3)  

  • Experience of planning, implementing and evaluating public health interventions specific to physical activity  

  • Significant experience managing a portfolio partners, stakeholders, contracts and internal teams across varying geographical areas 

  • Experience of managing staff and experience of multi-agency working 

  • Thorough knowledge of exercise prescription for those with long term medical conditions 

  • Ability to communicate clearly to a variety of professionals including GP’s, medical specialists, fitness instructors and leisure managers 

  • Ability to manage train, develop and monitor staff  

  • Experience of research, budget management, project management, development issues. 

  • High level of IT skills
