We are excited to announce this replacement opportunity as part of the L&OD structure.
The Management Development role is responsible for ensuring that the calibre of our operational managers is best in class. Reporting directly to the Head of Learning & Development, the Management Development Manager will continue to deliver the national management development strategy which includes co-ordinating the overall performance management assessment of managers and delivering subsequent development needs through the management development programme. The Management Development Manager is involved in all management appointments and in the matching of aspirations and capabilities as part of talent and succession strategies; and supporting in the measurement of manager performance.
As a key role within the people and corporate strategy, applicants will be expected to have or be willing to study towards CIPD L5-L7 qualifications, have a level 5 coaching and mentoring qualification, as well as excellent operational knowledge and experience, particularly with regards to training design and delivery. In the spirit of L&OD, applicants must be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to CPD. As a national OD role, the Management Development Manager will be expected to work mainly from Middlegate House, with a willingness to travel across the business to deliver training and connect with managers.
