GLL is looking for a Facilities Assistant to work 18 hours per week at Lincoln Central Library supporting the Library Manager in ensuring the maintenance, repair, security and safety of our building is completed to a high standard.   

 

As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll work as part of a team as well as on your own and have a good eye for detail.  With an understanding of health and safety regulations, you’ll ensure the safety and security of staff and customers and the building by implementing or reporting repairs, when necessary, with minimal disruption.  You will also provide occasional cover for the frontline library service. 

 

You’ll need to have previous maintenance or construction industry experience. Technical qualifications such as building, plumbing, carpentry and/or decorating etc. would be desirable.  Good IT, communication skills and written literacy are a must in this role as it requires a proactive approach and good problem-solving skills.

The rota of this post is as below: 

 

Monday         12.30pm - 5.30pm 

Tuesday        1pm – 5pm 

Wednesday  1pm – 5pm 

Thursday      1pm – 6pm 

Friday            Off 

Saturday       Off
