Grounds Assistant Based: Gateshead International Stadium

 

GLL is looking for a Grounds Assistant to work at Gateshead International Stadium (part time). This facility is situated on a 30-acre site comprising of five full-sized football pitches, four mini soccer pitches and one full-sized rugby pitch plus ten changing rooms with showers. The Centre acts as a base for the weekly park runs as well as hosting the academy of Cumbria’s only professional football club, Carlisle United.

 

You’ll be the sort of person who thrives in a busy environment and will be unfazed by the variety of the role. You could be doing anything from customer service, taking football bookings and allocating pitches to ensuring the general safety and cleanliness of the pitches and indoor areas to ensure our customers get an exceptional experience. As with any role, there will be some desk time and paperwork, some shifts will include some weekend and evening work as well as covering daytime hours on a casual basis.

 

If you’re calm under pressure, highly responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, we’d like to hear from you. Flexibility, punctuality and reliability are just as important as integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will stand you in good stead too. You’ll have your First Aid at Work qualification and be able to work both on your own and as part of a small team.
