GLL is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Graphic Art and Print Centre in Wigton, Cumbria - nestled on the edge of the stunning Lake District. This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to shape visual stories that connect communities and bring public spaces to life.

As the UK’s largest leisure and cultural social enterprise, we’re looking for a creative thinker and visual problem-solver with the talent and drive to help us bring our brand, and those of our partners, to life across print, digital, and physical spaces.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a vital part of our in-house design studio, collaborating with marketing, leisure, and library teams across the UK.
  • Create smart, engaging and on-brand assets for print, digital, social, signage, and merchandise.
  • Bring ideas to life through brochures, campaigns, social content, and advertising across B2B, B2C and internal channels.
  • Own your projects from brief to delivery, turning information into standout design that informs, excites and inspires.
  • Work within established brand guidelines while bringing fresh creative thinking to the table.

What we’re looking for:

  • A designer with a strong portfolio, showcasing experience across the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Someone who’s confident in managing multiple briefs, juggling deadlines, and producing consistently high-quality work.
  • A sharp eye for layout, typography and detail, combined with a passion for good design and creative storytelling.
  • Team spirit, curiosity, and a love for bringing brands to life in meaningful ways.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have motion graphic experience or skills in animation/video editing for digital platforms.

At GLL, your creativity will do more than sell a product - it will help shape community spaces and experiences. If you're ready to make design matter in a role that blends purpose, creativity and variety, we’d love to hear from you.

As a charitable social enterprise and cooperative owned by our staff, GLL is a unique organisation for you to have a career with!

The basics:
