GLL is looking for a Football Development Officer to work for Islington Football Development Partnership on a 20 hour per week pro rated week contract. Football Development Officer will provide a safe and consistent GLL Football Club programme for all ages and abilities of pupils, as well as to spot potential talent and create a pathway for the pupil. It is also essential for a Football Development Officer to actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses. Football Development Officer is required to maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional service.
Football Development Officer will comply with the commitments outlined in the GLL Football Club mission statement as well as ensure the safety and control of the pupils within the GLL Football Club.

What you need:
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and other legislation in relation to football programme operations.
- Understanding of Child Protection Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy and Revenue Protection.
Experience
Experience in coaching in youth football.
Experience of managing and mentoring junior coaches .
Evidence of achieving results and making a difference to customers.

- The ability to work with a range of different players and abilities

- Minimum FA Level 1 / Intro to Coaching course – FA Level 2 / UEFA desirable
