GLL is currently recruiting a casual Theatre Duty Manager to join the Terry O’Toole Theatre team at the ONENK Centre. As a theatre duty manager you will be passionate about the performing arts.
A Duty Manager’s role is highly varied, you could be doing anything from liaising with the Theatre Officer, ONE NK duty manager team and Theatre Technician re. facility handover, to setting up for events and performances, and checking everything is perfect for your customers.
The Theatre Duty Manager ensures that front-of-house operations run smoothly, handling customer queries and ensuring the successful operation of box office, cafe and other facilities.

Your job role:
This job role is a casual position and predominantly for evening and weekend shifts.
You’ll need a ‘Can-do’ attitude and be well-organised with excellent timekeeping.
An ability to maintain a good and positive image of the theatre to customers, performers and the public by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional service is essential.
You will assist customers with use of the theatre and ONENK Centre facilities.
Prepare areas and equipment for events and performances as appropriate.
You will liaise with the Lead Technician, Theatre Officer and ONE NK Centre team to ensure the efficient and effective control of events and performance operations, ensuring that safety, security, general cleanliness, and high standards of customer service are maintained.
You will work with the theatre FOH team to maintain all ‘good housekeeping’ systems and assist management to effect improvement plans for energy conservation and resource maximisation
You will supervise the FOH team staff on shift, effectively and efficiently allocating work and carrying out any other duties as required commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility, ensuring that management procedures are effectively operated within the team.
As a Theatre Duty Manager you will be required to undertake First Aider training.
A DBS [Disclosure & Barring Service] check is required for this job role.
Whilst on shift you will be the designated Safeguarding Lead, reporting to the Theatre Officer.
The Theatre Duty Manager is a site Key Holder and responsible for securing the premises.
You will undertake training relevant to your job role.
