Are you a creative wordsmith Copywriter with a flair for writing compelling copy across digital and offline channels? GLL, the UK’s largest leisure and libraries operator, is looking for a talented Copywriter to join our growing Marketing Team.
As a Copywriter, you’ll have the opportunity to create engaging content for a range of brands and business areas, including Better, Spa Experience, libraries and the GLL Sport Foundation. You’ll work across websites, social media, print materials and more, ensuring that every piece of content resonates with our diverse audiences. Your UX copywriting and content production skills will help drive engagement, support SEO efforts, and maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints - creating a seamless experience for our users.

Key responsibilities
Write and optimise web copy, ensuring it’s engaging, SEO-optimised, and aligned with each brand’s tone of voice.
Lead the copy execution for marketing campaigns and initiatives taking in input from across the team to craft creative and thoughtful copy for a variety of different channels and audiences.
Support the creation and update of content across digital platforms, working with internal colleagues and agencies to ensure it meets business goals and resonates with target audiences.
Write compelling offline materials, including print marketing, brochures, and event collateral.
Proofread and edit content to ensure it is polished, accessible and on-brand.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure written content is aligned with broader marketing goals.
Adapt content for different audiences, from gym members to library visitors, and ensure it is engaging and user-friendly.
What we’re looking for
Ability to work across diverse disciplines with proven experience in writing and editing digital and offline content for multiple brands.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimisation.
Experience in UX copywriting and creating clear, concise copy for digital products.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
A conceptual thinker with the ability to develop big ideas that can be executed across multiple channels.
Knowledge of accessibility standards for creating inclusive content.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines across various brands.
