Start Up Wandsworth is a business support service delivered through Wandsworth Libraries, which supports aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners to develop and grow their businesses through workshop, webinars, events, 121 advice sessions, etc. Start Up Wandsworth also provides low cost- high quality co-working desk space, offices and meeting rooms in the York Gardens and Putney Library business hubs.

 

The Start Up Wandsworth Coordinator is responsible for the administrative delivery of Start Up Wandsworth. The post holder will be based in the York Gardens and Putney Library business hubs and be the direct point of contact for the public. The Start Up Wandsworth Coordinator will also be responsible for the organisation and promotion of business support activities in the hub (workshops, webinars, events, 121's etc.), and the booking of workspaces in the York Gardens and Putney Library business hubs.

 

You will be supported by the Strategic Business Support manager and work closely with staff running the Start Up Greenwich and Start Up Bromley business support services.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for the booking, planning and logistics of business support activities in the York Gardens and Putney Library business hubs.

  • Liaise with facilitators who deliver Start Up Wandsworth business support activities and Library members of staff.

  • Be a first point of contact for businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to view and use the offices, desk space, meeting room space etc in the York Gardens and Putney Library business hubs.

  • Complete basic reporting activities for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for the overall promotion of Start Up Wandsworth, including building connections with local businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, and be the central point of contact for all project activities and enquiries.

  • You'll be a self-starter and able to work autonomously

  • You'll be a great all-rounder and able to create and deliver marketing and social media content to attract people to a full programme of events you'll organise and host.

  • Excellent organisational, administration and communication skills.

What you need:

  • You'll be a self-starter and able to work autonomously to meet your local KPIs.

  • You'll be a great all-rounder and able to create and deliver marketing and social media content to attract people to a full programme of events you'll organise and host.

  • Good knowledge of excel and strong report writing will be key, as will excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • You should have a good working knowledge of stakeholder management in multi-partner programmes and be able to work with everyone from entrepreneurs to business partners and the general public.
