Blue Peris is seeking a Catering Assistant / Cook
This role at our centre in Dinorwic, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, you see you contribute and play a vital role in the delivery of the catering
What you need:

IT skills in view of the use of word and excel
Ability to speak English
About You:
Ideally, have some experience of working within a kitchen environment and basic cooking
You’ll also need experience of preparing basic pre made food dishes, some that require cooking, and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, (although training can be provided for this ).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Overall
To ensure all necessary qualifications for the post are maintained and renewed as required and undertake required training
Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate in line with the needs of the service and commensurate with grade.
Having regard to standards of Health and Safety
Provide a customer focused service
Kitchen
Some of the tasks and responsibilities associated with this role include:
Basic record-keeping tasks, such as temperature checks
Receive, food deliveries
Heat and serve meals that have already been prepared.
Supporting the domestic team operating in the serving area
Perform kitchen set-up and close-down process
Liase with Head cook in view of staffing rota
To participate in the serving meals (not table service) and basic food preparation such as salads, cooked breakfasts

Located next to Dinorwic Slate Quarry and Padarn County Park, the centre's position allows for stunning walks in ones lunchtime.

Morning shifts from 7.00am and evening shifts up till 7.00pm are shared, thus meaning you’re not working early or late every day.
Working Hours
15-25 hours per week, with flexibility to suit candidate, please get in touch to discuss
Normal centre opening hours are between 7.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday.
No double split shifts
No requirement to work multiple 11 hour shifts in a week
The am and pm shifts to be shared with other staff
Some weekend working will be required and shared with other domestic staff. This is often 1 weekend per month . At times this will either be a Saturday morning 7.30am -11.30am or Sunday 1.pm to 7.pm
Salary £ 24,402.92 Pro Rota
This is the Full Time Equivalent ( This post is for approx 15-25 hours per working work ) The total amount of hours will be discussed at interview to ideally suit both the candidate and centre requirements
