What you’ll do: 

  • Review of BMS software strategies as and when required. (Trend SET.)
  • Improve BMS Graphic user interface as and when required. (IQ-Vision.)
  • Review Leisure Centre BMS systems with high energy consumption.
  • Manage minor and major BMS projects.
  • Monitor the delivery of services provided by corporate service provider.
  • You will be required to travel when required across the GLL/BMS estate.
  • Service - PPM and reactive works when required.
  • Proactive improvements to customers Building Management System.

 

Other  

  • Act in accordance with and actively promotes all GLL policies and standards. 
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility or required particularly as a result of events outside of GLL’s business control (pandemics etc).
  • Work flexibly in line with the needs of the business at peak flow times, evenings and weekends.
  • Deliver critical incident management as and when required.

 

Key Working Relationships  

*         Reports to Dietmar Kronegger, National BMS Bureau Manager.

*         To constructively interact with different people in a variety of areas within the operational team and GLL support services.

*         Builds good working relationships with all GLL colleagues, working both proactively and collaboratively.

*         Builds positive and progressive relationships with local authority partners as required.

 

What you need: 

*         IQ-Vision or Niagara N4.

*         Engineering Tool (SET)

*         Demonstrable safety CSCS Card Registered.

*         BCIA Courses BCM00-BCM05

*         Need to be experienced with Microsoft M365 applications in general.

*         City & Guild / BTec / NVQ Electrical

*         Confident in service/PPM, fault finding, and repairs.

*         Knowledge of 963 Operators, 963 Engineering, and various BMS systems.

*         Proficient in BACnet and Mod-Bus.

*         Full UK driving license.

*         Based in or around the M25 area.

*         Controls experience essential

*         Experience faults find in electrical panels

*         Experience working with computers

*         Report writing.

 

Desirable  

*         Other BMS training including Schneider Ecostruxure or Siemens Desigo / PX

*         In addition to BCM00-05, BCIA Course BCM06.

*         Qualified Electrician - 18th Edition

 

Experience  

*         Minimum 5 years' experience as a BMS Engineer.

 

Knowledge 

*         Good knowledge of CHP units.

*         Commercial Solar Systems.

*         Commercial Heating Systems.

*         Awareness of BMS systems owned by various manufacturers.

 

Skills  

*         You need to be self-motivated.

*         Adaptability and the willingness to learn new skill sets and keep your current qualification up to date.

*         Be Creative! The ability to improve current systems in place by simplifying process and speeding up services.
