GLL is looking for a SEND Nursery Practitioner  to work at Sutton Sports Village.  If you are enthusiastic, ambitious and want to make a difference, this job role could be for you.  Working closely with the SEND lead, you need to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to education and can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

         Support Learning*: Assist in planning, delivering, and adapting learning to meet individual learning needs.

         Individual Support*: Provide one-to-one or small group assistance, helping children engage with room activities.

         Progress Monitoring*: Track and record children development, reporting concerns or achievements to the SENDCo.

         Classroom Inclusion*: Promote an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.

         Behaviour Support*: Implement positive behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.

         Collaboration*: Work closely with SENDCo, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.

         Care Duties*: Assist with personal care needs where required, maintaining dignity and respect.

Skills & Qualities

*         Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

*         Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.

*         Organised, reliable, and proactive in supporting both pupils and staff.

Qualifications & Experience

*         Experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not always essential).

*         Relevant training in SEND strategies or interventions (e.g., autism awareness, speech and language support).
